Privacypolicy
Who we are
This website, philgregory.net, is run by The Audio Studio Ltd, the company behind Phillip John Gregory’s composition work. The Audio Studio Ltd is responsible for any personal information collected through this site. You can contact us about anything in this policy at contact@theaudiostudio.co.uk.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect your name, your email address and your message. The form also records the date and time you sent it and, for security, your IP address.
When you visit the site, our web host keeps standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. These help keep the site secure and running properly. We may also collect anonymous visit statistics to understand how the site is used.
We don’t ask for, and don’t want, any sensitive information. Please don’t include it in your message.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if you ask us to, to discuss or carry out work with you.
- To keep the site secure and stop spam.
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. We never sell your information or use it for marketing without your permission.
Who we share it with
We only share information with the services we need to run the site:
- Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its database.
- Google reCAPTCHA, which checks contact form submissions to block spam. Google’s privacy policy applies to the information it collects.
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they rely on recognised safeguards, such as the UK’s adequacy regulations or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
Messages sent through the contact form are delivered to our email inbox and stored in the website’s database. We keep form submissions for up to 12 months, then delete them. Emails we exchange with you are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your enquiry or any work that follows, and for as long as the law requires us to keep business records.
Cookies
This site doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies of its own. Essential cookies may be used to keep the site working. Google reCAPTCHA, used on the contact form, may set its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that’s wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
- ask us to transfer it to you or another organisation.
To use any of these rights, email contact@theaudiostudio.co.uk. We’ll reply within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first, so please get in touch with us before going to the ICO.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
